Glen Alpine Falls

Several miles back off the main road along Fallen Leaf Lake we found Glen Alpine Falls. Exploring these falls is best done in the spring when the snow melt creates the highest volume of water. This water is colder than ice cold beer.

Note the houses...no place I would like to be in the winter!! The road back to the falls is bad enough in the summer with pot holes big enough to hold Rhode Island!

We were actually stopped by snow on the road. Notice the size of the pine cones I'm holding.
